Converse University and the Social Entrepreneurship minor are recipients of generous scholarships from the Sullivan Foundation, which equips college students to become changemakers through their scholarships, awards, and training.
Social Entrepreneurship minors will participate in the Sullivan Foundation Social Entrepreneurship Retreat Weekend, known as the Ignite Retreat, where students can discover their true calling and discover how to create positive change in their communities.
Class Excursions
Previous class excursions taken by students in The Introduction to Social Entrepreneurship class have included Nashville, TN, where students had opportunities to see social entrepreneurship in action. Students visited Thistle Farms, a sanctuary for trafficking, prostitution, and addiction survivors and The Farmer’s Market.
Students completing a Social Entrepreneurship minor are required to participate in at least one Sullivan Foundation Social Entrepreneurship Retreat Weekend, held in the fall and spring.
